Rose and Scorpius
Chapter 13
After getting dressed, Rose ran down to the Great Hall to get some breakfast. She decided that after she was finished eating, she should go around to all the teachers and check to see if there was any important tests or papers she had to do. She was extremely grateful it was a Saturday. It took awhile, but she finally got all of the assignments she needed for the different teachers and returned to the common room.
Upon her arrival, she heard a great cheer erupt from her peers. She looked around, awestruck by the amount of people celebrating her return to good health. “Wow…” she said breathlessly as she stared at a large banner that read ‘Welcome back Rose!’ Scorpius seemed to appear from nowhere and grabbed her hand. “Do you like our welcome back party? I planned it for you.” He said, giving her a small kiss on the cheek. There was unison ‘Aww!’ from the crowd of people behind them. Rose blushed and smiled. As people began to start their separate conversations again, Rose pulled Scorpius over to a nearby window. “Thank you, Scor. This is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me. I love you.” She whispered. Scorpius smiled and pulled her into a tight embrace. “I love you too, Rose.” He replied quietly. “And don’t you ever forget that.” They stood by the window talking, wrapped around each other for ages. Occasionally they were interrupted by someone wanting to hug Rose and say a personal ‘Welcome back!’, but other than that, it was just them. A few hours later, when people were departing for dinner, Arianna, Eric and Roxy came over to them and pulled Rose and Scorpius into a group hug. “I’m so glad you’re ok!” Roxy exclaimed. Eric smiled at her and Arianna said “Good to have you back Rose.” Rose smiled, thanked them all and suggested that instead of dinner, they go out to the lake and catch up. They willingly agreed, and began walking outside. “Wait, I have to go and get Albus and James too. I haven’t spoken to them since before the holidays started.” Rose said. The others nodded and continued on outside. Rose walked into the Great Hall and noticed her two cousins right away. She ran over to them and sat down next to James. “Hi Guys!” She said loudly. Albus and James immediately hugged her and asked if she was ok. She nodded and explained how they were going outside instead of eating dinner. James and Albus stood up in unison and followed Rose outside to the lake, where the others were waiting.
“So, what have I missed over the last couple of weeks?” Rose inquired to her friends/family. “Well, there was a huge inter-house fight last Monday, but it was ended pretty quickly by McGonagall. No one even knows what the hell we were fighting about.” James explained. “But Andrew ended up getting expelled because he used ‘Crucio’ on several Hufflepuffs. It wasn’t pretty.” The others nodded sadly, and Rose’s jaw dropped in shock. “Wow, I never expected that from him!” She said quietly. “Neither did we.” Albus said, putting his arm around her shoulders. “Oh, and on a lighter note, Gryffindor was kick ass at Quidditch. We beat Slytherin by 65 points last week.” Eric added happily. Everyone laughed loudly, which gave Rose some time to think. ‘Hmm…Andrew used Crucio and got expelled…soon after I became sick with something unknown. There has to be a connection.’ She thought to herself. “Guys, it’s been great catching up with you, but I have to go to the library. See you all later.” She got up, kissed Scorpius, and ran back towards the castle. Just as she was leaving, however, she heard James laugh loudly and say “Just like her mother.”

Rose already knew that it was going to be a long train ride to Hogwarts and she wasn't sure if she was ready. Questions were going through her mind constantly what house will I be in?, will people like me?, and what if I miss home? She gave her family one last wave goodbye as she saw them slowly grow farther and farther from her. She took one last gulp and dragged her trunk behind her going down the hall, "hello?" she opened the first room she saw and there was a blond boy sitting there looking out the window.
Remember the words that her father told her about him she gulped, "erm... Sorry..." flushed she turned to close the door, but

Rose flipped the pages of her book absentmindedly as she sat at a table in the far corner of the library. She was tucked between various shelves, hidden from the view of the hawk-eyed librarian, Madame Pince. Her stomach growled and she closed her book, sighing. She had attempted to smuggle a blueberry muffin from breakfast in to the library but Madame Pince had sniffed it out before she'd barely crossed the threshold.
Now, leaning back in her chair she let her hair fall out behind her. The bushy curls of her mother combined with the flaming red locks of her father always left quite an impression. But now, with no one around to see them,

She nuzzled into his warmth like a mole burrows into the dirt. She never wanted to let him go, although there would be hell to pay if her father ever found out about them. She just had to make sure he never did, then, wouldn’t she? The chilly air of the top of the Astronomy Tower didn’t bother her, wrapped as she was close to him in his cloak. Or so she thought, when she shivered slightly.
“Maybe we should go inside,” he suggested softly, his voice alone sending tingles up and down her spin
